Loans to Russian farmers rise 29.6% to 338 bln rbl as of Oct 18

MOSCOW, Oct 24 (PRIME) -- Russian banks increased loans to agricultural producers by 29.56% on the year to 338.03 billion rubles as of October 18, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Russian Agricultural Bank boosted lending by 15.39% to 255.34 billion rubles, while Sberbank doubled lending to 82.69 billion rubles.

In 2017, Russian banks provided 317.02 billion rubles of loans to agriculture producers for seasonal field works, including Russian Agricultural Bank with 270.87 billion rubles of loans and Sberbank with 46.15 billion rubles of loans.
